What is “Exercise High”? 🕮
This book is a guide for naturally discovering the best-feeling version of yourself. A guide that will help you see what it’s like to experience flourishing mental health and how to feel comfortable in your own skin by exercising the way that we have evolved to, as well as by making small tweaks when it comes to caring for our pillars that make up our well-being.
It will help you to understand why the “big guys” don’t want you to feel this way, how our bodies were designed and what they respond to, as well all the steps that you can take to start fulfilling your potential within a matter of weeks.
Did you know that merely 10,000 years ago, we used to travel approximately 15 km every day, still hunting and foraging our food in order to be able to survive? Over the span of millions of years we have evolved into the complex creatures we are today.
During those times, when we traveled and performed essential activities, our body and mind created a mixture of feel-good hormones to reward us for staying persistent during activities beneficial to our survival, creating the state of the Exercise High.

What Made Me Want to Write This Book?
These past two years I have given this book everything. It was the first thing on my mind in the morning and it was the last thing on my mind at night.
Being a physical therapist starting out during the start of the pandemic, I found it difficult seeing my patients struggle with symptoms related to anxiety and depression on the daily, all while knowing the best methods to get out.
And it turns out they are not the only ones.
According to a survey performed in 2021 by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 28% – 37% of US adults reported that they suffered from anxiety, and 20% – 31% reported symptoms of depression (source). This is a 15-20% increase when compared to data from two years prior. This has been the trend over the past decade and considering the world events that are transpiring today, the future trends are not looking too good either.
Other Reasons
There are a few more reasons why I spent my free time writing this book. Was it money? No. I knew that was not going to motivate me enough to get this book across the finish line. By writing this book I wanted to:
1) share how you can experience the exercise high most efficiently and effectively
2) show how repeated exposure of the exercise high will help you discover the best feeling version of yourself
3) dissolve myths surrounding the complexity of exercise.
