The Best Intensity to Stimulate Euphoria
The best intensity to work out in is steady-state moderate or vigorous intensity, as confirmed by research (source). You will want to provide your body with a significant challenge and you can do that by adjusting the intensity of your workout.
If you choose to perform moderate intensity exercise, ensure to keep it steady and keep your breaks at a minimum. Should you opt for a more vigorous exercise session, you may be able to get away with a shorter work out time.
Great ways to add intensity to your workouts include: blood flow occlusion training, high intensity resistance training, high intensity interval training, isometric training, among many others.
How Long Should I Exercise for?
Plan for a least 15-20 minutes for your exercise session. This is to ensure sufficient time for a proper warm up and short rest periods.
Your chosen exercise intensity, as well as type of exercise you choose will largely determine how long you are recommended to exercise for.
As you get more experienced, it will become easier for you to push through the difficult parts of the workout and make your workouts more efficient and effective.
